utilizing supported employment services and achieving success
Creations by Mark
Several years ago I saw a craft table at an autism conference and met a gentleman that truly inspired
me and touched my heart. I picked out two beautiful blue bracelets. He placed them in a dainty gift bag and inserted his business card. It looks like this:

Mark’s team at GHA Autism Supports shared this information with us.

Even as a young boy, Mark thoroughly enjoyed creating various arts and crafts projects. GHA
Autism Supports assisted Mark in achieving his dream of creating and starting his own business
doing what he loves the most, making beautiful art pieces and ornaments. Mark sought initial
support through Vocational Rehabilitation Support services in order for him to take part in jewelry
lessons that would further develop his skills. As Supported Employment services evolved to include
Micro-Enterprise, Mark was able to utilize local community contacts to create a small business
plan and launch “Creations by Mark.” After seven years, Mark continues to tap into his passion while
earning compensation from various craft sales and other community opportunities. Mark has
recently expanded his creations to glassworks, and he is looking forward to this new venture as he has
plans to display and sell his items in a local store,“Second Street Sundries.”

Thank you for sharing your creations with us, Mark!
