MH/SUD and IDD Advisory Committee

Triad Region Advisory Committees

The Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Advisory Committee and the Intellectual or Developmental Disability Advisory Committee in the Triad Region focus on health needs linked to mental health (MH), substance use disorder (SUD), or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The two committees are made up of community members, family advocates and self-advocates.

These groups meet with employees from Cardinal Innovations to:

  • Explore ways to improve the public health service system
  • Discuss ideas for new services
  • Provide member and family feedback

The MH/SUD and IDD advisory committees are funded by Forsyth County and offer grants to non-profit agencies in the Triad Region for programs that serve people with these special health needs.
