Attention disorders
People living with attention disorders tend to have a hard time paying attention, and may be extremely active and impulsive. These behaviors interfere with a person’s daily functions or development. People with ADD or ADHD disorders may:
- Have limited attention spans
- Fidget or squirm while trying to sit still
- Be constantly moving or “on the go”
- Have trouble focusing on schoolwork
- Forget or lose things
When treated appropriately, the symptoms of these disorders can be managed. There are a variety of ways to treat a person living with an attention disorder, but having a support system and building healthy skills can help you or your loved one live life fully.
