Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral Palsy results in challenges with body movement and people with Cerebral Palsy may:

  • Have trouble with movement, coordination, balance, reflexes, and posture
  • Be challenged by fine motor functions, such as holding a pencil or turning the pages in a book
  • Be challenged by oral motor functions, such as speaking and swallowing
  • Need to use a wheelchair, crutches, or a cane

Cerebral Palsy doesn’t have to prevent you from a full and meaningful life. People with Cerebral Palsy deserve the same opportunities and respect as typically-abled people. Become informed and learn how you can connect in your community.
