Use your voice! Voting in the November Elections

Cardinal Innovations Healthcare — October 12, 2018 — 2 min read
The November 6 midterm elections are right around the corner! As we approach Election Day, we’ve put together some important deadlines and resources to make sure you are ready and able to vote in this year’s general election.

The health of our communities depends on collaboration between a diverse ecosystem of stakeholders including members and families, providers, school systems, elected officials, local government, law enforcement, advocates, faith communities, and more. There are many important state and local races on the ballot this year, as well as a number of constitutional amendments.

Voting in elections is not only a right, it is the most clear and direct opportunity to have your voice heard on the candidates and issues that shape our communities.

Deadlines and Registration Info
There are many options available for you to register and to vote. If you want to vote on Election Day and you’re not registered, Friday, October 12 is the last day to register (meaning your mailed registration is postmarked October 12, or dropped off at your local board of elections office by 5 p.m. on October 12).
If you can’t make the October 12 deadline to register, you still have other options. During the early voting period, you can register and vote through a process called “same-day registration.” More information on this and all election-related items can be found on the NC State Board of Elections website.
