Hurricane Relief Drive: Helping Children with Special Needs Affected by Florence

Cardinal Innovations Healthcare — October 9, 2018 — 2 min read
Hurricane Florence may be gone, but the storm's impact continues to affect our neighbors in eastern North Carolina. Members served by Trillium Health Resources, the LME/MCO that covers much of eastern NC, were hit particularly hard – many of them lost everything in the flooding during and after Florence.

Starting today we're launching a week-long Hurricane Relief Drive to help support their members impacted by Florence, particularly children with special needs.

During this effort, we will accept donations from employees, providers and local communities through Tuesday, October 16 to deliver directly to our LME/MCO partners at Trillium Health Resources.

Please share this information, or our social media posts, with anyone who might like to help. Thank you for helping children with special needs receive help and support at a critical time.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Donations:
Because many kids lost their school items in the flooding, we're focusing our collection effort on school supplies and snacks. Cardinal Innovations has purchased 1,000 backpacks with the goal of filling them with items specifically identified by Trillium as most needed. To ensure each backpack contains the same amount and type of items, we're asking that people sign up for items to donate via the Sign-Up Genius link below.
