Cardinal Innovations Enhances Productivity, Security with Improved Provider Portal

​​Mere months before its rollout of services in Mecklenburg County, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare has launched Provider Direct 3.0, a new provider portal that  enhances reimbursement efficiency for providers.

Provider Direct 3.0 offers providers greater benefits including increased security, usability and technological advancements. The platform complements Cardinal Innovations' already noteworthy efficiencies and ensures current providers and new Mecklenburg County providers added to the organization's network will be able to serve their communities much more securely and productively than before.

Proprietary to Cardinal Innovations, the enhanced Provider Direct 3.0 software was developed in partnership with providers and internal Cardinal Innovations staff. The new version of the platform marks the biggest advancement in technology features, security and productivity since the software's inception in 2004.

Features of the updated Provider Direct 3.0 platform include:

  • System Administrator function puts control of portal access in the hands of the provider
  • Dashboard landing page consolidates all key information and provider actions on one page and increases visibility of action and workflow tasks
  • Simplified navigation flow enables providers to quickly and easily move between key tasks and information
  • Message center enables a direct, secure electronic communication channel to providers for all regular and time sensitive communications
  • Redesigned data input screens pre-fill text while typing and embedded hints for data input functions will improve data input quality as well as reduce errors and rework for both Cardinal and providers
  • Provider to provider sharing of consumer care documentation reduces errors and facilitates timely care
  • A Client homepage that consolidates all information about the consumer within one easy to navigate page
