Cardinal Innovations Healthcare is accepting proposals from General Contractors to provide professional construction management services for one interior office renovation project located in the Uptown area of Charlotte over the next few months. Proposals must be submitted electronically to the VP of Facilities and Purchasing by 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019, via email to
All Proposers submitting for consideration by Cardinal Innovations Healthcare must demonstrate their ability and qualifications to successfully complete an office renovation project in the 8,000 – 10,000 square foot range. As a minimum ALL proposals shall include:
  • A1A Document A305 (Contractor Qualification Statement)
  • A list of at least three recently completed renovation projects of similar size and nature completed within the last three (3) years including owner and A&E contract information.
  • Proposed team members and crew leader and qualifications of each.
  • A plan that details intended steps to encourage participation by minority business in compliance with N.C.G.S. 143-131(b)
For consideration, each proposing firm must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
Minority business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this RFP. General Contractors who are not minority business enterprises are encouraged to make a commitment to include a minority business enterprise as part of their team.
This RFP has been issued by Cardinal Innovations Healthcare in good faith, with the intent, that subject to the results of the proposal evaluation, a contract will be awarded for the work. All information received by Cardinal Innovations healthcare from bidders in response to this RFP, and all subsequent information, shall become the property of Cardinal Innovations Healthcare and shall be used and disclosed at its sole discretion without further obligation to the prospective bidder(s).
Cardinal will utilize Informal Bidding Procedures in accordance with N.C.G.S. 143-131 and a contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified and the bids for performance of the contract. All proposing firms will have the opportunity to visit the building site and review the scope of work prior to bid submittal.
