Request for Proposals for Construction Manager at Risk

Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions is accepting proposals for a Construction Manager at Risk to provide professional construction management services for construction of one interior renovation project that is being planned in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area over the next three months. Proposals must be submitted electronically to the VP of Facilities and Purchasing by 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 via email to Facility.mgmt@cardinalinnovations.org.

All Proposers submitting for consideration by Cardinal Innovations must demonstrate their ability and qualifications to successfully complete interior renovation projects in the 10,000 to15,000 s.f. range. As a minimum ALL proposals shall include:
  • AIA Document A305 (Contractors Qualification Statement).
  • A list at least three recently completed renovation projects of similar size & nature completed within the last three years including owner and A&E contact information.
  • Submittals shall include proposed team members and emphasize the achievements and qualifications of each. 
  • Proof of bonding capacity up to Two Million Dollars.
  • A plan that details intended steps to encourage participation by minority business in compliance with G.S. 143-128.2.
For consideration, each proposing firm must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Construction Manager or General Contractor.

Minority business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this RFP. Construction Managers who are not minority business enterprises are encouraged to make a commitment to include a minority business enterprise as part of their management team.

This RFP has been issued by Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions in good faith, with the intent that, subject to the results of the proposal evaluation, a contract will be awarded for the work. All information received by Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions from bidders in response to this RFP, and all subsequent information, shall become the property of Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions and shall be used and disclosed at its sole discretion without further obligation to the prospective bidder(s).
