Cardinal Innovations Healthcare — May 18, 2020
Almost two months ago, I wrote, “none of us could have imagined what life would be like during a pandemic or at least not to this extent. It’s changed nearly every aspect of our daily lives, our relationships, and our work. What hasn’t changed at Cardinal Innovations, is our commitment to our mission and our members.” Every bit of this remains true today – and I sincerely hope that you remain well and healthy.
#Steps4MentalHealth is a campaign we launched at the beginning of the month and it has been an important reminder that even small daily steps are powerful in helping us feel well and connected. As I encouraged my team earlier in the month, I want to encourage you as well – make sure you’re taking care of yourself. Spend some time figuring out the strategies that work for you – and commit to making time just for you.
One final note – the General Assembly comes back into session this week. As a result of COVID-19, it will be unusual as there are restrictions on who can be in the building. Regardless of how the session moves forward, we will find ways to make sure folks understand our mission, our members, and that the legislature knows what’s important to you and the system. We are advocating on behalf of you and the providers that support you. We will keep you posted – and offer advocacy tips as the session moves along.
I hope each of you are doing well and managing in this new normal. Please, take care of yourselves and those you love.
