Onika Wilson, the Vice President of Quality Management for Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, has nearly 15 years of experience with the organization. In her role, Wilson develops and monitors quality initiatives across the service system to promote a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Before taking on the Vice President role, Wilson served in several roles within the Quality Management (QM) team. She also has helped coordinate care and oversee case management in some of her earlier roles with the organization.
For the last 12 years, Wilson has focused on Quality Management, serving as a QM specialist initially and later becoming a leader within the department first as QM manager and then director. As director, Wilson oversaw Cardinal Innovations’ quality management plan and strategy program to promote compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. She also oversaw monitoring systems and improvement activities to improve member care, and ensured that staff and providers received ongoing training and education.
Wilson has over 15 years of progressive experience in the health care industry. She worked for several community behavioral health agencies prior to joining Cardinal Innovations. In one of her previous roles, she was a team leader and supervised over 20 people while managing a caseload and coordinating care for members. Between 2002 and 2004, Wilson interviewed clients and legal guardians for initial assessment and facilitated family sessions. She also responded to crisis phone calls, coordinated care, and developed treatment plans for child and youth clients with behavioral health needs.
Wilson is a graduate of Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her family, and enjoys traveling and spending time with her large extended family.
