Chief Information Officer
Casey Hossa is the Chief Information Officer for Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, overseeing the technology innovation and delivery for the organization.

Hossa, who joined Cardinal Innovations in March 2020, has two decades of experience in technology, innovation, and transformation in several industries, including healthcare, travel, transportation, and consumer products.

Before joining Cardinal Innovations, Hossa was Vice President and Chief Information Officer for MultiCare Health Systems, a $3.2 billion health care provider in the state of Washington that also operates an independent Accountable Care Organization. While there, he led 400 professionals delivering technology solutions focused on improving quality, patient and caretaker experience, and financial performance.

From 2007 to 2017, Hossa was Divisional Vice President of Customer Service at Health Care Service Organization (HCSC), a $36 billion Blue Cross Healthcare plan with 15 million customers across group, Medicare/Medicaid, and direct to consumer in five states. While there, he led the delivery of technology that enabled improved member and provider experiences by leveraging digital capabilities and optimizing solutions. This involved leading teams on key projects including build-out of mobile applications, Salesforce implementation, and build-out of data warehouse supporting over 100 applications.

Hossa is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, Ill., with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He earned a Master of Business Administration in Management of Information Systems from DePaul University in Chicago, Ill. 

He was recruited out of business school to join Ernst & Young and tasked with technology transformations in consumer packaged goods (CPG), telecom, and manufacturing sectors. Hossa later joined Deloitte to lead strategy work for Southwestern Bell’s M&A project before being recruited to a client, United Airlines. He led an IT transformation program for United Airlines, where he was responsible for developing IT capabilities such as united.com, data management, call center management, and voice recognition to support business growth.

He is experienced in transformational leadership, and has led technology organizations to achieve enterprise mission and objectives with clear plans, supporting operating models, communication and transition plans and measure of progress and success.
