About the committee

The Client Rights Committee (CRC) is made up of members, family members, and advisors from the community. The CRC works to establish and oversee clients’ rights protections to make sure that every member is treated with dignity and respect, and receives care in a safe and appropriate environment. The CRC promotes awareness and educates stakeholders, including Cardinal Innovations’ network providers, members, and their families about clients’ rights.

How to get involved

There are requirements for our CRC memberships:

  • At least 50 percent of the CRC should be members or their family members.
  • There is representation for intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental health (MH), and substance use disorders (SUD).
  • Each county in our service area must be represented.
  • A Cardinal Innovations employee can serve on the committee as a non-voting member.
  • CRC members can't serve on other committees or councils for members with Cardinal Innovations.
